Oakland Community Acupuncture has been my place for 18 years. I had a few community treatments recently with Dr. Emma, and the first was a life-changing one, despite me showing up at the wrong time since I was so disoriented by pain. I had a leg injury and was going through an enormous life transition, and Dr. Emma knew exactly what to do anatomically and spiritually, and how to hold the intensity compassionately. I also deeply respect Chris, who is an expert at sports injuries & had an awesome mentee supporting him on my last treatment (I think Diego). It was luxurious to have another person to aid with the care. The dedication OCA has to supporting POC in Chinese medicine work is evident! Jennifer is also an excellent practitioner & steady force who has supported me through various struggles over the years. I remember a particular time when my sinuses cleared instantly for the first time while receiving treatment with her. Five star team!

I’ve been to this clinic several times over the past two years, and all of the practitioners have been wonderful! I had a really bad case of sciatica last year that I thought would take months to heal (I could not walk or sleep), but, after going to the clinic 5 times in a week, the problem was gone and has not returned! I have been treated for sinus/lung congestion, other muscular/joint issues, and even emotional problems, and never disappointed!
