Handyman Heroes

Updated review 11/2025: we also had Handyman Heroes replace our broken EV charger. Damon did an excellent job and we have upgraded from 37mph (240V 40A) to 45mph (240V 48A) charging and are happy.

We have employed Handyman Heroes for both their handyman services and plumbing services. Each time, it has been a very pleasant experience with accurate quotes, and I’m talking to within $10 of the quoted approved estimate amount, which is very impressive.

Samuel helped us in Aug 2024 perform exterior stucco patching and painting. His work was excellent and he even textured the stucco patches to match the surrounding texture, which shows the detail of his craft.

This year in Sep 2025 Ishmael helped us re-seal bathroom tub and shower tile grout, as well as kitchen countertop caulking to the tile backsplash. Ishmael did a great job – very straight lines, consistent grout and caulking, and he completely re-sealed everything in the bathroom and kitchen to prevent moisture from going into the walls.

We also had bad water hammering issues in the home because our incoming city water pressure was 105 psi, we wanted to hydro-jet our home’s rear drain ahead of the rainy season, and our American Water Heater / Takagi tankless water heater completely stopped working due to it having being installed 10 years ago without service flush ports and having never been de-scaled by the previous homeowners. Jake Hankins the Plumbing Service Manager came and installed a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) regulating our incoming water pressure to 70psi, hydro-jetted our rear drain to lateral sewer so that the home is prepared for the upcoming rain, and replaced our tankless water heater with a state of the art Navien 210A tankless system with a 15 year heat exchanger, 5 year parts, and 1 year labor warranty and service ports for annual flushing/de-scaling. The tankless heater was installed in a way that directly hooked up to our existing radiant heating system, gas hookup, and exhaust flue, and the finished work was of higher quality than the system and facilitation it replaced. All the work was done on time and in approved budget, and the quality of the work is very high. It was also less expensive to use Handyman Heroes compared to quotes from the last plumber who came to work on this home. Communication with the Handyman Heroes office personnel Kathy and Jimena were also very responsive and easy to coordinate both over the phone and through text messages.

We are happy homeowners now thanks to Handyman Heroes’ excellent work. We also signed up for the new Hero Partner Plan which includes an annual home inspection of plumbing, electrical, flushing of water heater, which we know now will prevent any future heater issues. We recommend Handyman Heroes for all their services.
