Golden Gate Park Golf Course

Golden Gate Park Golf Course is located within the notorious Golden Gate Park at 47th Avenue and Fulton (in GPS 970 47th Avenue, San Francisco CA 93121). This 1,017 acre park sees over 13 million visitors a year and is 20% larger than Central Park in New York. Like the golf course, the park was built on rolling shore dunes and sand. During the 1860s field engineer William Hammond Hall had a vision to convert the desolate sand and dunes into an inviting, recreational asset for all. The course is located directly behind the Dutch Windmill and Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden.
